The three Pyramids of Cheops, Chepheren and Mykerinus were constructed throughout Ancient Egyptian from roughly 2550 to 2490 BC. You’ll also see one of the world’s oldest statues, the Great Sphinx of Giza which is among the world’s largest sculptures, measuring some 240 feet (73 metres) long and 66 feet (20 meters) high. It has a particularly complex system of funerary chambers. Like its neighbours, with its temples, road and three small satellite pyramids, Mykerinos was a funerary complex. The attention to detail is not as it is on the earlier pyramid. Menkaure' was the successor to Chephren. The pyramid was not complete when Menkaure died. Shepseskaf, who was Menkaure's son, finished the pyramid. The granite encasement was never finished. The pyramid stands 66.5m high, which is much smaller than the other two pyramids at Giza.
